Go back in time a thousand years and visit one of the World’s wonders, the ancient City of Angkor Wat, in Siem Reap, Cambodia! Here you will be accommodated at one of Porky’s Packers modern resorts of your choice for 3 nights. You can choose from quiet and relaxed or party atmosphere. Each choice of accommodation has a restaurant serving local and international dishes. Also on sight is a bar and swimming pool where you can relax and take in the atmosphere. A pick up by 1968 army Jeep to Angkor Wat is included with experienced driver and guide for the day. Next is a scenic trip along the Mekong River to the capital Phnom Penh. A two night stay is provided in a down town hotel. From here you will visit the infamous Killing Fields and S21 museum from the Pol Pot genocide of the 1970s.

Leaving Phnom Penh by bus to Mondulkiri, a hill tribe hill tribe area is the next step for 1 night. The next day a transfer to the Elephant Conservation Project for 2 days and 1 night. This is a charity organisation that takes care of the elephants in their natural habitat and is one of the only places in the world were the elephants are truly looked after.

Tour’s Program

Pick from Bangkok accommodation by bus to Siem Reap Cambodia at 9am- approx 8 hours. You will be assisted to obtain your visa at the border ($US 35) – After the border you will then be bused to Siem Reap, On arrival please make your own way to Garden Village GuestHouse. Here you will be provided with 3 nights accommodation.
A pick up from your accommodation is provided by 1968 army Jeep. You will be taken on a tour around Angkor Wat Ancient City and Temple Complex with an English speaking guide. Arrange chosen pick up time with Porky's Staff at the resort. Angkor entrance fees are not included.
Relax at your hotel at the pool bar or take an excursion to the floating villages or just visit the town of Siem Reap- evening recommendation- Pub Street- a short distance from your hotel. Here you can enjoy the vibrant nightlife which includes numerous international and local bars and restaurants, live music and nightclubs.
At 7 am You will be transferred from your accommodation to the pier for a journey by boat to Phnom Penh along the River Mekong, passing floating villages and traditional life on this majestic waterway- on arrival in the Cambodian capital you will be provided with 2 nights stay in a funky Hostel in the centre of the city.
We suggest that you visit the Killing Fields and S21 Genocide Museum from the Pol Pot era of the 1970s to pay respect for the 3rd of the population who were slaughtered in this terrible time. It costs around 18 $ for a rickshaw ride for the day.
You will be picked up from your Hostel at 7am and driven by bus to the remote tribal area of Mondulkiri, home to the Bunurong tribe. Indigenous to this part of Cambodia. Here you will be provided with 1 night's accommodation in the mountains.
You need to be at Khmer Kitchen restaurant for 7.30 am this is where you will meet your tour guide, he will the take you to the Elephant Conservation project in Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri. Here is where you will spend the next 2 nights accommodation. It is only in this region where local elephants are protected and live a natural existence.
You will be met by a professional team of conservationists and taken into the forest to spend time walking, feeding, bathing and swimming with elephants in their natural habitat.
